Sales Support Consultant

We are searching for a Sales Support Consultant who will focus on IT lead generation for the Sales Team, you will earn commission for each opportunity you identify and as such you will spend a lot of your time on the phone, cold calling potential clients and fact finding. This would be a great opportunity for someone with strong spoken and written communication skills, who wants to progress into sales. Potentially a recruitment resourcer or an administrator with great people skills, or potentially even someone who has limited experience in sales and wants to progress within a successful company and team.

They support local businesses with their IT requirements; Hardware & Software, Telecoms, Cloud & Hosting, Mobile Communications and Networking, all with the help of their highly qualified, in house technical team to support.

They have well formed partnerships with Leading Technology Partners, making life for their sales teams much easier, as they have all the technical and financial support they need with access to promotions and offers before they are released to the general public. They are committed to customer service and consultative sales across the Education, SME, Charity and the Public Sectors.


  • Lead generating for ICT opportunities
  • Booking appointments for the sales team and booking attendees for events run by the company
  • You will have daily, weekly and monthly sales targets and have the ability to earn commission
  • You will work alongside and gain experience from the current telesales team and work closely with the sales team

Knowledge of IT and Microsoft Dynamics CRM would be an advantage, Telesales experience preferred but not essential for the right candidate. You will need to be resilient, hardworking and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn and develop. This role is target driven, so you will need to be ambitious and hungry to succeed. This is a permanent, Exeter-based role and you will not be required to attend on site visits. Basic salary + uncapped commission OTE circa £25k can be expected as well as 20 days holiday + bank holidays, rising to 25 days after 2 years employment.

This is a great chance to work with a leading IT provider and prove yourself, there is ample opportunity to progress into a 360 IT consultant, earning circa £110K PA OTE for the right person and this company is very focused on consultative selling, not hard sales, so it would be a great environment for a keen sales person to build their confidence initially.
