We are working closely with a clinical software specialist, who are searching for an experienced Software Manager. We are on the hunt for someone who is sharp, inventive, curious and pro-active. We want someone who is not afraid to work hard and is used to working towards tight deadlines in a pressurised environment. This business is a leading supplier of tailored practice management systems for GP surgeries in the NHS and are well known across many other sectors. These systems improve patient care and help medical professionals to work as effectively as possible.

As the Software Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the entire software department. You will ensure the timely and effective delivery of software products within the business catalogue. Problems you will address involve the interpretation of cases and evaluation of requirements, which demands constant inter-action with customers and across Departments. There is a requirement to look for solutions involving originality, drawing both on current practices and acquired knowledge and skills.

Internal contact is a key feature of the job, involving the post holder in liaison and consultation with colleagues at all levels across the Company. Externally, the post holder will have regular contact with customer and clients which may include the NHS, Practice Managers, Practice Staff, General Practitioners, Clinicians, CCG and Health Authority representatives.
This position is mainly office based, however please be advised that regular attendance is required at meetings, conferences and exhibitions around the country. Please also take note that there is a requirement to work to strict internally or externally imposed deadlines. This is a permanent full time post, Monday to Friday (40 hours). You may occasionally be required to go above and beyond your normal duties to support the business. This organisation has sites in Bodmin (Cornwall) and Plymouth and this position can be conducted from either site.
