HR Assistant required to join an existing HR team of a well established company based in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is at the start of their HR career to expand their hands on generalist knowledge and to follow a training programme which will develop you into a Trainee HR Officer.

Key Responsibilities will include (but are not exclusive too):

  • Administration support to HR Officers and HR Manger.
  • Dealing with employee queries.
  • Compiling reports for the HR team as and when required.
  • Recruitment enquiries.
  • Liaising with recruitment and training providers.
  • Minute taking during meetings.
  • Preparation of confidential documents such as offer letters and contracts of employment.
  • Assisting in recruitment processes as and when required.
  • Maintaining employee records.
  • Assisting the HR team to ensure that safety and wellbeing best practice continues to be implemented.
  • Assisting the HR team to maintain employee confidentiality.

Experience, Qualifications and Candidate Attributes Required:

  • CIPD Level 3 qualified.
  • Approximately two years experience gained within a HR role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong Administration skills.
  • Excellent MS Word & Excel skills.
  • The drive and tenacity for personal development.

This is very much an Administration based role to begin with therefore the successful candidate must be willing to undertake the majority of the Administration duties within the department. The successful candidate will be given a full training and development plan by the company to become a Trainee HR officer within the department.
