Due to excessive growth within this longstanding Technology business, we are searching for an Account Manager who can support the Business Development team by ensuring that clients are happy and always receiving excellent service, this is a full time permanent position. You will effectively be the middle man between clients and BDM’s, solving and escalating problems to relevant teams and Technical Departments, you will be the go to person to assist should any problems arise. While IT knowledge and skills will be taught and developed, you must have a passion for technology and a desire to provide outstanding customer service to all clients in order to be considered for this role.
Not only will you be the BDM’s go to for support, you will also be the direct point of contact for a range of clients in various industries across both Devon and Cornwall. This is not technically a sales position but it will require strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships and the confidence to liaise with Business Owners and C-Level Executives regarding their IT Infrastructure. You will work very closely with the Business Development team to identify opportunities within their accounts and you will spend a substantial portion of your time contacting clients directly to discuss these opportunities, you can expect conversations around; endpoint security, subscription renewals and contractual administration amongst other things.
Whilst this is not a Sales role as such, you will be rewarded for your hard work with a commission scheme soon to be put in place, to motivate you to identify these opportunities and action them either with BDM’s or the client directly. We are searching for someone with a strong background in Customer Service, excellent communication skills both written and verbal and someone with confidence in meeting clients face to face to discuss opportunities. You do not need to be technically minded to do well in this role but prior experience in IT Sales or IT Customer Service for example would be advantageous.
