We are working with a National food manufacturers to recruit an Onsite Health and Safety Advisor. Candidates must have previous experience within a food manufacturing environment.

Key requirements:

  • NEBOSH qualification
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and planning skills
  • Carry out site risk assessments, considering how risks could be reduced and implement actions;
  • Assist in outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards
  • Carry out regular H&S site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
  • Make changes to working practices and procedures to ensure that they are safe and comply with legislation
  • Keep records of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvements
  • Recording of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers
  • Keep up to date with all legislation
  • Make changes to working practices and procedures to ensure that they are safe and comply with legislation
  • Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
  • Produce management reports, newsletters and bulletins
  • Ensure the safe installation of equipment
  • COSHH and Disease controls
  • To implement and chair monthly H&S meetings with Department Managers with minutes and actions
  • Manage the company H&S databank

Hours of work:

The hours for this role are 25 per week and can be worked on a flexible basis.

You will be required to work such hours as are necessary to complete your duties and a degree of flexibility will be required to meet Business needs.
