One of Plymouth's most prestigious manufacturing companies and largest employers is looking to recruit an Administrator with a background in Logistics for their South Yard site.  This is a busy role and the successful candidate will need to be able to multi-task and to liaise with management on a daily basis regarding a multitude of issues, therefore excellent communication skills coupled with sound IT knowledge will be essential.  The role, which is office based will require the update and management of internal systems relating to Company operational needs; detailed main accountabilities and the knowledge and experience required for these positions, are listed below:


  • Updating and tracking of all Time & Absence (T&A) exceptions
  • Maintaining all administrative duties in relation to operational requirements using current systems
  • Maintain Life Jacket servicing and register
  • Typing of Audit reports
  • Maintenance and printing of drawing registers
  • Print and distribute site KPI’s
  • Take minutes as and when required
  • Assist where required in maintenance of Project plans and Production KPI’s.
  • Support senior management with administrative support to include but not limited to Data Analysis, Project Presentations, Meeting Schedules, Internal/External Meeting planning, printing of material deficiency reports to support weekly managerial meetings
  • Manage external and internal post
  • Order stationery and other consumable supplies
  • To cover any other reasonable administrative duties

Knowledge and Experience:

  • A background in logistics
  • A good knowledge of the Company computer systems
  • All round ability with MS Office products including but not limited to Excel, Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Appreciation of Payroll and MRP Software systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • An all round team player
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Good all round working knowledge of production working processes
  • Good communication skills

Hours of work:

39 hours per week
