We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join a well renowned food manufacturers in the Leicester area. The role will require an ambitious individual who can build strength in to the engineering team, has a clear succession plan for the future and is looking to become a Chief Engineer within the next 5 years.

Role-Specific Skills

  • Has detailed knowledge of all site engineering systems, processes and procedures

  • Can demonstrate tangible and sustained KPI improvement under the five manufacturing pillars
  • Actively encourages, organises and applies lean techniques and processes
  • Fully supports and is actively involved in the continuous improvement department’s vision, goals and objectives
  • Delivers quality and accuracy in own and teams work.
  • Ensures all areas operate to the correct working standards
  • Has a broader view of effective resource planning for the immediate, medium-term and long-term
  • Able to cope under pressure and flex with peaks in personal workload as well as support team members in delivering their objectives
  • Able to use, analyse, understand and act upon trends from logistics operating systems
  • Able to anticipate/identify problems and own them through to conclusion
  • To lead relevant teams to support the continuous improvement programme
  • Able to act on decisions with the corresponding level of urgency
  • Has a wider knowledge of the external factors affecting the business and their implications
