We are looking for Moulding Operatives for a plastics manufacturer in South-East Cornwall. Direct moulding experience is not essential as full training will be given, however manufacturing experience is .  This role would suit a local candidate, who is looking for long term prospects. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 0600-1400, rotating to Monday to Thursday 1330 to 2230. Transport will be required due to the location.

Key Tasks and Duties:

Implementation of the production schedule as provided by the Works Manager or Supervisor, including: Set up, operation and clear-down of the equipment as required.
Ensuring achievement of production targets in line with expected output levels.
Checking product quality of each individual item produced before passing on to the next stage of production and/or finishing.
Ensuring that quality procedures and related sampling plans are followed without deviation at every stage of the work being undertaken.
Ensuring that the correct raw materials have been provided for use prior to commencing any works.
Ensuring that correct manufacturing specifications are in use and visible at all stages of the process.
Ensure accurate records are kept of production information, including: cycle number, date and signature against production batches, and accurate records of moulding or trimming technical information.
Ensure any problems which arise are reported to the shift supervisor; or other senior member of staff in the absence of a supervisor.
Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment at all times.
Ensuring that production capacity is maintained by taking breaks and machine downtime appropriately.
In addition:
Maintaining a flexible approach to working duties, as the requirements of the role vary day-to-day.
Adopting a calm and adaptable manner, particularly under pressure.
Applying a methodical and logical approach to all duties.
Ensuring the ability to manage personal priorities.
Maintaining a sound understanding of quality management principles.
Possess a robust understanding of the company Health & Safety policy, and use sound judgement to assess potential risk before undertaking any activity.
Maintaining a professional, courteous and respectful working relationship with all staff, management, customers, suppliers, contractors or any other person who has reason to have contact with you at any time during your employment with the company.
