Warranty Operative required for successful Automotive Company based on the outskirts of Plymouth.  Our Client is seeking to recruit a well motivated and productive individual, who ideally has an engineering/mechanical background, and has the ability to work alone and without close supervision.  The successful candidate will be working in a small team and be involved in equipment returns, checking/lubricating and repairing items of kit and dealing with documentation to keep systems updated. Detailed requirements for this role and the skills required to do the job, are listed below:

Job Accountabilities: 

  • To prioritise and action items returned for warranty claim and calibration both from customers and engineers.
  • Effective liaison with other departments and our suppliers.
  • To effectively follow procedures to ensure maximisation of warranty claims on suppliers
  • Adhere with health and safety procedures, reporting problems and contributing to solutions where possible. 

Experience/skills required: 

  • Experience in all types of calibration/lubrication and parts returns for warranty purposes
  • Diagnostic experience
  • Experience in technical processes, fault finding and examination of warranty parts returns.
  • Mechanical/engineering background
  • Able to understand and follow admin procedures
  • Computer literate, database experience
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to use initiative and liaise with a range of personalities 

Hours of work: 

  • Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm (30 minutes for lunch) 39 hour week.
