Our client is a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service, maintenance and signalling.
Role description:
Working within Electronics manufacturing
“To support the selection, cleansing and upgrade of data to be migrated from existing SAP VCM into PLM and SAP GSI at D&IS Plymouth”.
The role is required to support the Industrialisation Engineering (Production Engineering) team throughout a project to migrate to new PLM and ERP (SAP GSI) tools.
This will include:-
- Support to the selection, cleansing and upgrade of data to be migrated from existing SAP VCM into PLM and SAP GSI
- Analysis of current Master Data using SAP and Excel in order to efficiently support the migration project.
Purpose of the job:
Ensure part number availability and related documentation from PLM to ERP aiming to place manufacturing and/or purchase orders for delivering Customer on due time.
Ensure that the industrial Master Data are well implemented in the different systems (PLM, ERP, MES)
Support the implementation of new IT systems and their updates.
Accountabilities:
Manage technical data for all part involved in project execution to ensure all these parts are available in project PLM (mBoM) and ERP with relevant properties at expected date to launch manufacturing and purchase order
Collect, update & crosscheck information between Project teams (PrIDM) and Products(PIM) team to defi ne and secure exact scope of part to be used by Project (Part Number, Revision, Type, Owner, Origin, …)
Perform all action/request in business Database dedicated to BoM management to ensure part code availability in project ERP division (subscription, modification, creation request, …)
Launch/follow any necessary action with other metier in project team: buyer, logistic, engineering, industrial quality to enrich detailed ERP division for manufacturing and purchase order
Ensure data consistency between the different IT systems: CLAMP, PLM, ERP
Make sure that part number are managed though Signalling standards (Component On Specification, Common Codification rules, product standard code usage, …)
Manage the impacts of engineering and process changes in the systems Set-up effectivity for application of the changes
Provide on due time routings and assembly instructions
Deliver on due time industrial fi les and data to suppliers
Apply CLAMP, PLM and ERP standard processes
Support technical change on PLM and ERP
Ensure accuracy of BoMs
Authorities
Industrial Data Management Manager missions are tailored by the Industrialization Director /Manager
Performance measurements:
(OTD, QCD, Sales, PMC, Orders, Gross margin, etc.)
Data Quality: Reliability of the BoM, of the Material master data and the routings Data delivery on due time. File treatment lead-time.
Preferred Education and experience:
Engineering degree in Engineering, Industrialization, Operations, Industrial, Supply Chain
5 to 10 years’ experience in Operations, Industrial or Supply Chain department, on electronics, electrical or mechanical devices
Strong experience in data management:
Part or BoM creation/update/enrichment with dedicated database/tools ERP (SAP), PLM (Enovia, Teamcenter) Configuration management, routings and assembly instructions
Basic knowledge of Engineering design and Supply Chain
Essential Competencies & Skills
Experiencing and expertise in using SAP VCM and / or GSI Excellent capability of extracting data from SAP VCM and / or GSI Excellent analytical skills of data in SAP and Excel

This role is required to support the PLM / SAP migration at Plymouth for 12 to 18 months with monthly visits to Derby site
Shifts: Monday – Friday Days
Hours: 37 hours per week
Duration: Long term ongoing
