Job Description

This is a really exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, yet already established and successful company based in the South West. As the Head of Sales, you will head all sales for the business including strategic planning, management of sales staff, site presentation and dealing with sales data for presentation to the board of directors. You will be key figure in the delivery of the current projects and advising and working at board level with the growth and development of the company moving forward.  Salary based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

A Head of Sales leads and motivates their sales teams to achieve sales goals and objectives. Some duties and responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Leading and motivating teams of Sales Representatives to develop customer relations and increase sales revenue.
  • Designing programmes to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Overseeing sales team recruitment and creating training programmes to train new and existing employees in the sales department.
  • Understanding and communicating the organisation’s value propositions and processes.
  • Monitoring supply and demand, competitor offers and costs to determine and adjust selling prices.
  • Forecasting and creating annual sales quotas for regions and territories to determine sales objectives.
  • Analysing market trends and results to determine annual unit and gross-profit plans.
  • Liaising with head of marketing team and head of technical teams.
  • Reporting to operations director and to board of directors.
  • Overseeing external solicitors to deal with site set up, conveyancing progression.

Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required:

  • Proven ability to develop and successfully lead a sales team/department.
  • Experience examining growth opportunities and enabling sales improvements.
  • Involvement of developing weekly/monthly/annual sales targets for the department.
  • Being able to communicate at all levels.
  • Understanding of processes and developing work procedures to streamline the business.
  • Capability to represent the brand in a professional manner.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • New home sales experience highly desirable.
