Job Description

Experienced Facilities Engineer required on an interim basis for large manufacturing company based in Plymouth. The successful candidate will be required to work in collaboration with the HSE Manager, you will manage and coordinate activities that will ensure the effective and efficient operation of all facilities on site ensuring that all legislative requirements are sustainably and effectively managed. You will ensure compliance with environmental, security and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with the HSE manager, ensuring compliance with all onsite environmental, HSE and Safety legislation.
  • Working and collaborating with onsite teams and external contractors to ensure the business plans are met for the management of all facilities, ensuring optimised Operations on site monitored via integrated Building Management System.
  • Successfully coordinate the implementation of new sustainable building projects and the Introduction of new capital equipment on site.
  • Working with the I & D team on specific projects as required.
  • Managing new build, renovations, refurbishments and office moves.

Essential Experience, Qualifications and Candidate Attributes Required:

  • HND or Degree in a recognised Engineering discipline coupled with a minimum of 5 years experience within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment. In the absence of a qualification, candidates who are qualified by experience within facilities may also be considered.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to work well within a team environment and structure and coach staff in tasks.
