Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join this established hotel kitchen team at Lands End. Previous experience within a similar setting would be ideal but not essential.

This is a permanent role.

No Accommodation.

As the Junior Sous Chef you will be required to:

  • Assist the Head Chef with menu planning, rota changes, staff training and stock control.
  • Consistently maintain high standards of food service and provision to meet the expectations of the guests.
  • Ensure that the methods of preparation and presentation comply with current recognised catering standards and those implemented by the Head Chef.
  • Take operational control, including supervision of all kitchen staff as required by the Head Chef

  • Have experience cooking with fresh produce.
  • Hold Level 2 Food Hygeine certificate.
  • Be enthusiastic, focused and committed.
  • Make decisions quickly and pragmatically.
  • Be a team player.
