Kitchen Porter/Assistant – Kingsbridge – Up to £28,554- Live-in

TQR are working in partnership with an independent Hotel based in the Kingsbridge area to recruit an experienced Kitchen Assistant to join their kitchen team.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be required to:

• Work effectively under pressure during busy services
• Be able to handle ingredients
• Be able to prep food for service
• Have a basic level of cooking skills (advantageous)
• Help with fetching, carrying food and other manual tasks.
• Clean equipment within the kitchen.
• Follow Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards
• Ensure kitchen areas are clean and tidy

To apply you must:

• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Have proven experience as a kitchen porter/assistant
• Be physically fit
• Have excellent time management and communication skills
• Be able to work alone at times and also take direction from senior staff
• Have a Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate (or be willing to complete the course)
