Job Description
Excellent opportunity for an ambitious health and safety professional, looking to inspire people and businesses to work safely and sustainably.
This position is based out of a head office at Plymouth and will require some travel throughout the South West and potentially nationwide, balanced with a degree of home/flexible working.
The role involves:
Training
·Deliver inspiring certified and externally accredited training , dependent on experience and qualifications
·Deliver high standards of training via different platforms: classroom, online and hybrid delivery
·Continuously review the efficiency and effectiveness of our training services and proactively engage in personal upskilling activities, and suggest opportunities for improvement
·Develop new and review existing training courses and course materials
Consultancy
·Visit client premises to undertake reviews, site safety inspections and incident investigations, and identify appropriate, proportionate remedial actions
·Undertake gap analyses – review existing health and safety processes, RAMS, supporting documentation and competence levels and identifying / reporting on areas where improvements in HSE management systems are required, including training needs
·Complete reports in line with our service provision guidelines and to a high level of accuracy
·Use academic and industry knowledge when applying a solutions-based consultancy approach with our clients
·React to ad-hoc enquiries from our ADVISOR member, giving sound and timely advice
Other
·Assist the sales team with the development of tenders and service proposals
·Regularly engage in CPD activities, ensuring your technical health and safety knowledge is up-to-date at all times
·Assist in project work as an when required
·Act in line with our values of being professional, friendly and caring when liaising with your colleagues
·Conduct briefings / toolbox talks to upskill other team members
·Engage in promotional / marketing activities
We are looking for someone who:
·Has Chartered IOSH status (or equivalent)
·Is qualified to Diploma level (or equivalent)
·Has had substantial experience delivering training, ideally online and in person
·Enjoys inspiring clients and delivering both training and consultancy services
·Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
·Is highly motivated to provide a superior customer service experience
·Sets and attains high personal and professional standards
·Is confident working with minimal supervision in a professional environment
·Is able to effectively deliver training and consultancy advice to all stakeholders of an organisation, adapting their approach as required
·Has a specialism, ideally in fire, ISO or construction
