Job Description

TQR are searching for an enthusiastic Showroom Manager to join our national client for their store in Croydon. They will have the overall responsibility for the showroom operation, stock and results. Managing the sales staff, ensuring they follow the company standards and legal requirements. Delivering0 a high standard of personal selling in line with the Brand Values and sets the standard in the showroom in terms of a premium shopping experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maximize profitable orders
  • Deliver the showroom weekly, monthly and yearly sales targets (orders, sales, margin and mix)
  • Consistently maintain the highest shopping experience from all team members in line with Brand Values
  • Ensure all follow-up on existing sales leads and outstanding quotes
  • Adhere to sales and marketing instructions (promotions, visual merchandising etc.)
  • Police rigidly the payment journey (deposit and paid in full prior to delivery)
  • Ensure margins are maximised to generate bottom line results – cross-selling, add-ons, low discount etc.

Manage the showroom team and showroom

  • Train and motivate the team to increase sales, margin and efficiency
  • Apply the company HR policies and legal requirements (discipline, working hours, EHS, appraisal)
  • Use the Mystery Shop programme to measure selling skills and training needs
  • Manage and target to improve stores ATV
  • Monthly reviews completed and areas of focus highlighted
  • Investigate/feedback local competitor activity and/or price matches, periodically do S.W.O.T analysis
  • Keeping the shop inside and outside tidy and according to the brand/retail guidelines
  • Pro-actively ask for repairs and/or for re-decoration when needed

Coordinate the store back-office

  • Analyse the sales data (SAP and footfall) and take the appropriate measures
  • Work with HQ on range planning and store space optimization
  • Understand and use relevant SAP/BW reports
  • Manage and maintain agreed stock levels within budget and of good representative

KPI’s

  • Weekly, monthly and yearly order Intake (Order Intake, Delivered Sales, margin and mix)
  • Motivated, trained and performance managed sales team, with no labour conflicts
  • Continued improvement as tracked with the mystery shopping programme

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Experience in retail sales, preferably in high end furniture
  • Proven track record in retail sales management
  • Ability to work in a small and lean organization, hands-on and team player and leadership skills

Job Details

  • Permanent position, full time and part time days are considered
  • 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday with weekend availability
  • Commission
