Job Description
We are working with one of the fastest-growing maker of traditional nomadic yurts in the South West. Due to exciting growth plans we are seeking a passionate Yurt Maker to join their talented hands-on team.
Based in brand new premises within beautiful Buckfastleigh. This company is driven by a vision of artisanship, wellness, entrepreneurialism and high quality at the core, supplying hand-made Yurts to the UK and beyond!
Working in a tight-knit team, your main responsibility will be producing (and repairing) a wide variety of bespoke small/medium/large canvas covers, linings and accessories for Yurts and other structures.
Full training will be given on all processes, designs & products.

The key to success in this role is having a sense of urgency, being detail driven, and with experience and consistency, working in a high-quality artisanship environment.
More about you:
- Be a part of the team that builds yurts for our clients, with a focus on the Canvas elements.
- Be a part of the team that goes on-site to install, repair and maintain yurts for our clients.
- As part of the team working with Team Lead, engage in constant process evaluation to improve the processes within the business with the aim of taking less time while maintaining or increasing quality in all areas.
- Communication of any changes to be shared and approved by Operations manager, then trained into the team and documented. Aiming for Best Practice.
- As part of the team, engage in yurt design sessions to help improve what we already make and create new products for our clients.
- Support: As required, support the F&F, D&W and HQ teams.
Key Requirements:
- Making the elements for all yurt canvas covers, from cutting through to fitting, on time and to quality.
- Work with colleagues to ensure work areas are clear, clean and safe.
- Work to support the Canvas Workshop Manager and Deputy, as required, in respect to management of materials, stock control of consumables, husbandry and training colleagues.

Salary on offer dependent on experience.
Full time hours Monday to Friday, with overtime available and weekend availability.
