About the role…

Are you a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong passion for driving business growth? As the Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, whilst building and maintaining relationships with existing clients, and driving overall revenue growth. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your strategic thinking, persuasive communication skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching market trends and competitor analysis
  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective clients through regular communication and meetings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized solutions that address clients’ business needs
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to identify potential business partnerships and growth opportunities
  • Attend exhibitions both in the UK and internationally.
  • Travel in the UK and overseas to meet clients – approx. 50% travel/50% office based

 

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales roles, preferably with experience selling technical products into aerospace and automotive sectors.
  • Strong aptitude for absorbing technical product information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong drive for achieving results
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Must be prepared to travel throughout UK and internationally
  • The demands of the role are such that remote/hybrid working is not offered. Candidates must already live within a commutable distance or plan to relocate for this role.
