About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Administrator to support a busy logistics and supply chain function. This role is key to ensuring the smooth coordination of shipments, accurate documentation, and effective communication with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely collection and delivery
  • Prepare, check, and maintain logistics documentation (e.g. delivery notes, invoices, consignment notes, and import/export paperwork where required)
  • Liaise with transport providers, freight forwarders, and couriers to arrange shipments and resolve issues
  • Monitor delivery schedules and communicate any delays or discrepancies to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records within logistics systems and reports
  • Support stock movements, reconciliations, and inventory accuracy alongside warehouse teams
  • Process delivery confirmations and generate customer invoices
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, health & safety standards, and UK transport regulations
  • Respond to internal and external queries relating to deliveries and logistics data
  • Produce regular reports on logistics performance, KPIs, and costs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics function

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience using ERP or logistics systems (e.g. Insight 123)
  • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability

Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a logistics, supply chain, or administrative role
  • Understanding of basic logistics and transport processes
  • Experience working with data, documentation, and deadlines

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of UK transport legislation or international shipping procedures
  • Experience with import/export documentation (e.g. Incoterms, customs paperwork)
  • Relevant logistics or supply chain qualification

Hours: Mon to Thurs 8am – 4.45 & Fri 8am – 12pm
